  • The Illusionist is loosely based on Steven Millhauser's story "Eisenheim the Illusionist." A magician during turn-of-the-century finds him self in love with a woman soon to be wed to a prince. He uses a bit of magic and stirs the pot. Capturing her eye he makes her wonder what she really wants.
