best comedy ever, the only movie of its genre i can see, and see, and see.. and still laugh like the first time. It´s perfection at work.

I disagree with you danger, though I can see where you're coming from. I was just blown away by the absurdity of this movie-- and loved every minute of it. All the performances are spot on, from The Dude, to Maude, to Donnie and the story is hilariously creative as well. I think it has lasted very well over the years if you can truly get into the characters, story, and over all weirdness of the film! But then again, I'm a Coens fan, so my opinions are probably a bit different.

Overall I was sort of let down when I saw this. I think I had over-expectations when I saw it was a "cult classic" and sorts. It was ok, but I just dont think it has stood the test of time, well 9 years. Im sure it was funny in its day, but now, its just OK.
